About only one thing: My TV. Its a 60 inch Sony LCD HDTV, 1080i or p, i dont know, but it has 2 HDMI things in the back.

I have a Wii, and a PS2, it streaches it out really alot. It looks kinda horrible and im worried the PS3 will also streach out and look bad. I want it to look as good as the HD trailers I have been watching but im sure it will streach out, alot or a litte.

So my quesion is: Will my big TV make the PS3 look bad/ streached out/ pixalated or anything, majorly or slightly?

Thank you in advance.

No it wont. Ps3 games are designed for widescreen. Most wii and ps2 games are not.

It will look awesome dude!!! Just make sure the tv is set for 16:9 , hook up HDMI and be ready to be blown away. Grab some blu ray movies too, they are worth the money.

no it wont be stretched out.the reason its stretched out is because the PS2 outputs for a 4:3 ratio, your Tv is a 16:9 ratio, and because the PS3 is HD it outputs in a 16:9 ratio, meaning that your Tv is perfect for a PS3, there won't be any strecthing out, it will look exactly as it is meant to look.

The Wii & the PS2 are not meant to run on HDTV's, that's why they look stretched & look like crap. The PS3 however, is built for HDTV's & has widescreen options so get an HDMI cable with you PS3, (it doesn't come with), and enjoy the eyegasm, it looks fantastic on an HDTV, (especially in 1080p).

You'll be amazed by the picture quality of the PS3 once you set the system's display settings to 1080i (or whatever resolutions your TV supports). The PS3 was designed for TVs like that.

How does auto-settings work? Does it adjust to your TV?

No it only adjusts the output of the ps3. It tries to find the best setting for your tv. However after you use it you can still fiddle around with the settings to see which one looks best to you.

Well I also own a 60 inch sony 1080p tv, and I can tell you that the picture looks amazing, you really won't have to worry about it being stretched out. The ps3 was made for HD, so you wont have the issues with non hd systems like the ps2 and wii.

Wii / PS2 are stretched/grainy because youre feeding a 480i/p signal into 1080.

do not buy 10$ hdmi cables. if it is 10$ it will probably not be anygood. just go to best buy and let them hook you up. you can get a good hdmi cable for 50 bucks or less. but to seems a little scary to me.

Really? A well-known PC magazine (name escapes me now) compared $8 monoprice.com HDMI cables to $100+ Monster HDMI cables. They concluded there wasn't a difference to the naked eye nor to their machines. "Just go to best buy and let them hook you up." ROFLMFAO, that's probably the worst advice you could ever give someone.

My TVs like 2 months old, unless you mean how long ago it came out, then IDK.

PS: I already have an HDMI cable waiting for the PS3.

So it will look the exact same as a smaller screen? Cause I played it at EB games today on a like 20 inch or so screen and it looked AWSOME, but will it look the exact same when on my TV?

Your PS3 should adjust itself

Dont wanna burst your bubble, but HDTV's go down hill after 50" :| The resolution gets crappier, it's like interlaced instead of progressive, but if it's Sony then im not sure, i wouldnt buy it tho, best bet is 42" LCD 1080p

They dont know what there talking about, me and my uncle work at the Sony Centre thats why i got discount on my other HD

Dont worry though im not saying its BAD, just that your not getting full potential, but once the HDMI 1.3 Cable is out it should be good to go with the 60", so dont worry bout it ;)

So im getting the overall vibe that it will look not pixalated or streached with a big HDTV like mine?

Am I correct to assume that?
