Agreed but I'm wondering if they'll be direct ports or visually enhanced? Playing my Dreamcast on an LCD is a painful experience.
... And oops for creating a thread that already existed. My bad! :?
Cheers! Skies of Arcadia, here I come :DMillenialFair99
Tell me about it! Also really looking forward to Shenmue, Jet Set Radio and Quake III: Arena... if it's online... which I doubt :(
I can't wait for this I do hope Jet Set Radio and Daytona USA 2001 get added which I hope Daytona USA gets some online support. I'd really like to see the dreamcast versions Ready 2 Rumble series and Re-Volt as downloads.

It's too bad my actual ownership of a Dreamcast was short-lived when my baby brother fell on it. But yeah, I remember Quake III alot, too. :)I can't wait for this I do hope Jet Set Radio and Daytona USA 2001 get added which I hope Daytona USA gets some online support. Oh man! I totally forgot about Daytona! Whether it has online support or not, count me in!
Gentleman, start your engines...
I'd rather buy the hard copy Dreamcast games are fairly cheap anyway...FightingfanI'm sure most people would like to buy the hard copies but for those of us who don't have DC, this a nice announcement. I never had a DC so the only game I ever played was Sonic Adventure when my cousin brought his over and I loved it so that'll be a definite purchase for me. I'm sure I'll find others I'm interested in as well.
I still have mine (DC)... I wonder if they'll release the Godzilla games over here in the West I imported oh-so-long-ago - three very basic, very Japanese "arcade" games based on the movie monsters which I really enjoyed despite their One-Button controls... and I want "Iron Aces II", and I want "Delta Force", and I want "Makken X", and I want "Slave Zero", and I want "Quake III" and I want "Unreal -
:P
... the bloody list is as long as my arm.
PS - The article says the games will have HD graphics, surround sound, and it also mentions how the console was first to feature online play... so it's a fair possibility that at least some of the coming releases will have online portions... leaderboards are mentioned, and trophy/ achievement support.
This is gonna be so COOL!
Shenmue should be the first game to be re-released!azzezino

Haha I love Shenmue they will release it hopefully soon enough after Sonic Adventure (I loved this game too, it was the reason I bought a Dreamcast.)my fav games on dreamcast were toy commander, revolt racing, and playing quke3&ut&outrigger online fanaticly in there days. so heres to hoping we get alot of the great dreamcast 3rd party games also instead of just the first party.
Here's hoping to Soul Calibur being released via PSN store.

Do we really need the original when 2 and 3 are better. 4 has everything the first game had as well.
This is assuming sega releases games on a steady basis. It took a year just to get 2 games, how long will it take to get more? This rumor has been going around for forever. These games better not be more than $15, if they are, then I will just buy the GC versions for less.
Crazy Taxi!

I never owned a Dreamcast, but it looks like it could be good.Vic-Ferrari
That's what's known as an understatement, my friend :P
I very rarely purchase anything off the PSN but that will definitely change soon! I'm assuming these titles will go for around US$15 each as Sega isn't the powerhouse it once was and could certainly do with the extra income. I've no problem paying that much per game as the content certainly justifies the price, unlike a certain map-pack :P If they're cheaper, even better!
I thought I remembered when this was just a rumour, PS2 games were included in this as well?
supa_badman
I'm pretty sure that we won't see PS2 emulation for the PS3 until Sony ceases support for the PS2 console. I just wish they'd hurry up!

I'm sure that wouldn't too much work to convert some files into working games for the PS3...I wonder if anybody remember house of the dead? i used to play that game all the time at the acrade :P

Oh hell yeah! The good old days when arcades actually had something to offer!
This is great news, but I just bought a DC a few weeks back because I wanted to play Shenmue and all the other games I missed. Oh well I guess.
So far I have Shenmue, Jet Grind Radio, Sonic Adventure, MDK 2, Ready 2 Rumble, Shadow Man, and Maken X. I would love to play them in HD, but I'm not spending anymore $.
I might buy Skies of Arcadia if it's released though because it is hard to find for a decent price.
