I can get a hold of an 8GB mem. stick for $60 from a friend. I am just wondering, because my cousin went to the store and they said there that the limit for the Slim PSP is 4 GB. Is this true?????

The 8GB card is supported provided that your firmware is updated.

Just make sure it's not a fake!

There is no 4gb limit, the PSP slim (or non-slim) can read the 8gb memory stick. Sony has already stated that the PSP will support up to 32gb memory sticks in the future. 8gb support is already there.

as long as you have the latest firmware (or a PSP slim) then an 8GB pro duo will give you no problems.

32...that is massive, I think they need to release alot more games to make it worth it. Plus alot more downloads available from the PS Store.

Yeah, definitely a lot more downloads from the PS store. Can't wait to play lot of great RPGs from the PS1 era again. The PSP lacks some serious RPGs. Just chock full of short term games.

www.sony.co.nz has 16gb memory sticks listed as compatable with the psp so 8gb memory sticks should work just fine

8GB and 16 GB both work on all PSP models; about 1.5-2 years ago a firmware update was released that allowed it to address storage over 4 GB
