do you think borderlands has a shot at GOTY

i belive so...the graphics are amazing

i love the gameplay, the ammount of guns, the rpg style

does not take fallout 3 out of my favorite game slot,but hey fallout won GOTY why cant borderlands

With Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2, it will have trouble, though I would want it to win too.:P

Its a good game IMO but it has no chance going against both U2 & DS.......

Not a chance. It's averaging scores in the mid-80's, so I don't see many major gaming sites picking it over games that they scored in the mid-90's (Uncharted 2, for example).nero_rules

Uncharted, Batman, InFamous, R+C, Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed, KZ2. It is a great game but I think it will go unnoticed from most places.

I hope not... im really sick of hearing about this game. I'm also sick of the damn Borderlands posts. I know you didnt mean it... but the game just does not appeal to me at all.

When we got Uncharted 2 getting the Nr. 1 spot for PS3 exclusive and Nr1 game of 2009 on Gamerankings...

I also like it but i certainly dont see it getting GOTY...

There's a chance, it has so much hype around it. But it faces serious competition with all these huge releases coming up.

Not with the scores it got on GS. Still good scores and I think it will be darn awesome, but games like Uncharted 2 and Batman have a much better chance.

with a current metacritic score of 86, there is no way that it has a shot at goty, great game but no its no goty.

Good game, but by no means a GoTY contender in my book. That said, I'm heading back to my PS3 to play a bit more.

nope, killzone 2, infamous, uncharted 2, were all better imo, and theres still MW2 coming out which will get GOTY no doubt.

But sorry dude this game doesn't have a chance in hell at GOTY. Its going up against Uncharted, Demon's Souls, MW 2, Batman AA, ODST, inFamous, Killzone, etc., etc.. Too many other great games this year.

Not with Moder Warfare 2 on the horizon.

But who knows, MW2 may not be so good.

Even in such a fantasy, Assassin's Creed 2 or Uncharted 2 would probably take its place.

Fun game but i dont think anything is better that Uncharted 2 this year
