But the game was amazing. I haven't seen too many topic about MGS4 here.
That's because people already bought it months ago, beat it, came here and talked about it, and that's that.
Not sure why you are deciding to ask this when the review and the game are both months old.

Yep lol  :P.
metal gear solid 4 was nothing less then a ten. everything about this game was perfect. the story was perfect. the gameplay was perfect. game of the year.
The part of the game where you actually get to play deserves a 10. Its the 60% of the "game" where you are sitting there watching a movie that i would argue about. Alter_Echo
I totally agree with this guy. The gameplay and everything to go with that was amazing. Best controls for a game ever. But the crazy long videos would have been more enjoyable if the story was better. I also don't like the cheesey parts, like teh Mk. II. Worst idea ever. So aside from cheesiness and bad story it was awesome. I gave it a 9.0 I think.

what he said. And for the guy who said it has no replay value, are you kidding me man? I can't get enough of the game because of the gameplay that is really detailed and fun. You have no idea how much you can do in terms of gameplay. The more you play the game the more you found out things about it that are really interesting and that you never knew they existed. To be honest with you, it's not even enough to play it twice to get out everything of the 50GB game. This game is pure epic. I finished it 14 times already, completed all the emblems, unlocked everything from face camos, weapons(over 70), etc... each weapon in this game is unique and no gun is the same and the weapon models and the way you reload them are the BEST I've seen so far. The sound of each bullet from each weapon differs from one weapon to the other. The way Snake's body reacts to explosion and the facial expression he does while being blown off is frickin' awesome and quite frankly haven't seen this in any other game. I can go forever explaining every detail in this game but I just can't because it would take forever seriously. If this game doesn't have a replay value I don't know what does to be honest. I have to confess something too, I attempted to start another game and try enjoying something else but the moment I do, I just miss MGS4 really fast and get bored with the other game. I'm sorry for using the honest word too much but I have to mention something, when I said replay value I meant the single player and NOT MGO and to be honest I haven't played it yet. Most games' replay values nowadays are found in the online but in MGS4 it's quite different. I don't know how far MGO goes but I do know that I never needed it. 10? Much like IGN said, if I could give it an 11 I would've done it already, but 11/10 in rating systems doesn't count so 10 is pretty much ok. :P Semper Fi. Who dares wins.
[QUOTE="Unknown_Hero3"]Easily...best game on PS3Dark-Pain
I agree. MGS4 was so amazing. I compleated it 13 times already and have all the emblems.

Christ...1) In pretty much EVERY fps all the guns sound different, and aside from range and power, they are all very similar. Reload animations are pretty fake, because no one would be able to reload a gun that quickly...
2) You must not play very many games then.
3) wow. Okay, then, but to most other people, MGS4 is not a gift from God.
4) Game is basically a 10 to fans of MGS, and a 9ish to everyone else. It had too many flaws to be a 10 to everyone. I'm sure the nostalgia and love for the franchise allowed people to look past the flaws, but to those who weren't fans, the minuses DID show.
I would have given it a 9. Definitely not a 10 universally.
360 fanboys will crap all over it just like PS3 fanboys will praise it to the heavens. There is no middle ground on the internet. It is easy to know what ever one is going to say in the Playstation3 forum on the topic.
Go post the same exact question on the X360 forum and see what reponses you get...that will be interesting...

lol I thought the TC was going to say it didn't deserve a 10.
Anyway MGS4 definitely deserved the 10/10 it got, the game is a masterpiece and a classic in the making
I'm sure people who have not picked up the game at all or for a few minetes would say no. This is my first game of the series and wow I love the damn thing. On act 3 and yeah, pretty intense it deserves the 10. It would be sick if we could play as the white samarai guy, he kicks @$$. Alfred91
His name is Raiden.
