Did the PlayStation Store just start charging tax?

The reason I ask is because I could always buy games off of PSN for my PSP & I did not have to pay tax. That was a reason I liked buying download games over store bought games. Because you saved a few dollars. So I just picked up a PSN card put in the number so I could download Persona 3 Portable. Because of the game sale & now it says I am short a few dollars. So if Sony did add tax to PSN when was this. This just makes me upset because now I have to spend another twenty dollars just for a dollar twenty. So if anyone knows what happened then I would really appreciate it.

I never knew that some people were charged for tax. I live in Michigan & I just thought that would be the same way for everyone else.

It's always been that way, I think.

i am going to try changing my address and see if they change the tax i pay. that would be funny if it worked.

and for the record, i think when i purchased something from the playstation store a while back i paid tax.

Could have changed it, depending on your region. I've always been charged tax on PSN purchases here in Canada, though.DJ_Lae
