I get the vibe here that some of you are just buying games to show off the trophies... I for one dont give a rats ass if they are there because thats is why I have a 360 also. If I want to get points its all good but thats just a waste of money...
The award system will sell games. People will always want to show off how good a gamer they are, or at least how many games they play. I was psyched when i got all the trphies for SSHD and as soon as i can borrow my friends Uncharted, ill be playing that until i get em all too.

I agree. People that buy games just for points and trophies are losers.
People will buy and rent games just to get trophies. Will I follow no but if I have a game that support trophies I would try to get every trophy that my skill will allow me to get. Got to face it, we live in a time where people need things to show off so they can define themselves.

The only games I have that do/will support trophies in the near future are Warhawk and Uncharted. I think that the trophy system is neat, and it is definitely giving me a reason to play my games more, but I'm not going to spend s*** loads of money on games that I don't really want just for the trophies. Ok, so I made a big deal about Uncharted's trophies, but it really isn't a factor in my decision to purchase games.

I play n buy games because I enjoy them, not because I want some stupid trophy that shows ppl "OHhh look, he doesnt have a life so he sits round collecting trophies..".
Well trophies will sell games, but not trophies alone. If there is a horrible game, with trophy support, it still wont sell. But a good game will sell more copies with trophies than without.
I think, Im not going to buy a game for trophies, I may rent a game if it supports them to see if I like the game. I just bought Pixlejunk, it has trophies but I did play the demo first. I think trophies will put a huge jump in sales, for example SSHD, Do you think it would of sold that well if it werent for the fact it was the only game with trophies for how long
I wouldn't buy a game strictly because it had trophy support, I avoided SSHD, and PE Eden. I will start contemplating buying multiplats on ps3, if this trophy system starts to take off.
i wont just buy a random game that i might not like just for trophies. But if the game i got supports it and has them, why not id go the extra mile to get the trophies, but no i wont go out there buying just a game say for example bladestorm, i wouldnt go out and buy a game like that just cuz it has trophies.
Trophies definitely sweetens the deal but I will not buy a game I'm not interested just for Trophies. If I like a game Iwill buy it regardless if it has trophies or not. That being said I love Uncharted and collecting Trophies is quite fun.
I know i wont, im playin uncharted again for the trophies, i mean i have it so why not? i played the demo for PJ: eden and i didnt find it quite to my liking so i didnt buy it, trophies are a nice to add reply value to already great games :)
