With a DVI - HDMI cable.Not-A-Stalker
Err... I am gonna sound very stupid by asking this but I am a complete 'noob' when it comes to PC... anyway, my question is:
'Â where does the cable goes? '
:P
DVI side to the monitor (as long as it has a DVI in and not just VGA) and HDMI into back of PS3.LoboSolo
Thank you. Sorry about the stupid question.

[QUOTE="Wolfer"]Sound is part of the hdmi cablewillz822The sound is part of HDMI but I do not believe DVI supports sound (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). If the OP has a sound system, then he could run an optical cable for the sound.
So I also need to get an Optical Cable as well if I hook my ps3 to a PC mnitor in order to get sound?

If you have a receiver that accepts optical inputs, then yes, that would be the way to get the best sound quality. I don't know what kind of set up you have but if you are connecting it to a PC monitor then it sounds like the PS3 is next to your PC. If that is the case then you will probably need to figure out another way to get audio. Please Log In to post.
