5 reasons to own a ps3

Hey guys. I was looking through some ads and considering buying a used ps3, but I wanted to make sure it was worth the money. I've been hearing different things about whether or not I should get it. I already own a 360, and some say that the consoles are so similar in their game libraries that it's redundant to own both. So, I'd like to hear your top 5 reasons I should buy a ps3 if I've already got a 360. Thanks for your input.

Here is what I think of the PS3

1 - blue ray

2 - Free lagging server

3 - wow I dont know

4 - hmm let me think

5 - I wish I had both a 360 instead of my PS3.

Yes I will keep my Ps3 and enjoy it but when it come to game the 360 has more game on the menu, dedicated game like uncharted, killzone2 aint that good in fact killzone is pretty bad, but it just me. If money is not an issue buy it and see it for yourself.

Maybe you're telling the truth, but if you don't care much for your PS3, why are you hanging around the PS3 forums? Smells like a troll.

Really it all comes down to the exclusive titles; Uncharted, LBP and Demon's Souls spring to mind. That being said my main reason for buying a PS3 was to use it to watch blueray movies.

If you got the money it is a good investment to gain access to PS3 only titles and since you don't pay for online. It doesn't matter if you don't play games on your PS3 too often.

Actually, the 360 and PS3 are basically interchangable so I wouldn't bother. You'd miss a few cool exclusives, but it's not really worth the pricetag of £250, for me anyway.

(The PS3 uses a laptop hard drive, theoretically you can swap in a 1TB hard drive) 8)

I actually got a free xbox 360 with the purchase of my Samsung touch of color at best buy about a year ago. Well I wouldn't say free they probably had it in the price somewhere...anyways. I had my xbox for about 6 months. I played Halo, Gears, both CoD, Skate 2, SF4, Dead Space, RE5, ect...I owned Halo but I wasn't a big fan. I played through the missions and got online to play with my friends and I just didn't enjoy the online community. I was paying for a online subscription to be annoyed but younger guys. I traded my xbox in for the ps3 a fat when the price dropped. And here is my 5 reasons for a PS3 and why I am enjoying it better.

1. Online is free and more enjoyable. I don't run into as many annoying people. I play Resistance 2 and Dirt 2 online a lot. You don't get called noob or f4g every 10 minutes.

2. I enjoy the games better, Uncharted, Demon's Souls, Killzone 2, MGS4, and Resistance 2 are the exclusives I have. I am borrowing InFamous it is alright.

3. Though I miss my Netflix streaming I do prefer my Blue Ray player. I already built up a collection (i.e. Bourne trilogy)!

4. The PSN store is pretty legit. If you been craving Final Fantasy 7 or the original RE Directors Cut they are on there. Plus games like fat princess which are a real hoot.

5. Feels like you have more control. With the fats you can install other OS on there. You can upgrade your HD easier. You have your internet browser, you can take a break from a game order papa johns online then start right back to your game. And the interface feels more grown up not so bright and bubbly more techy look.

There just feels like Sony is starting to go back in the right direction with their system. Plus I am a mac person. I only use Microsoft products when I really have to. When the price drop happened I finally just said f xbox and traded it.

The things I miss about the xbox in comparison.

1. The friends I made on there, but I have them on my facebook.

2. Netflix instant stream...but now I have Blue Ray

3. Mass Effect, that was the only exclusive I truly liked.

4. The online interface and ease of talking to your friends between different games. But the rumor is that Sony is working on that. So that shall be coming I hope.

If you have the opportunity to have both that is good. I am a clutter free guy I rather just have one system I really enjoy. I hope I helped. I know what it is like to want that reassurance if your going to go out and lay down that much money. Because not only are you buying a system you will want even more games and Blue Rays!

Whoever told you that the "libraries are so similar it would be redundant to own both" is lying. I have both and there's plenty of great exclsuives on both consoles. To get to experience the great exclusive games on PS3 is reason enough to buy one but I'll give you 5 since you asked so nicely:

This right here is about it. Whoever told you that said it bcuz they want one and don't have the money for it.

well if you already have a 360 then the main reason would be exclusives and there are enough good ones to justify a ps3 purchase with more on the way. Of its a blu ray player and of course free online is a plus but people who use the RROD as a reason need to stop kidding themselves ive ran into alot of people that have had the YLOD issue. Yeah it may not be as frequent as the RROD but there is still alot YLOD cases out there and unlike MS there is no free 3 year warrenty most RROD cases ive heard of were fixed for free while most YLOD cases end up having to be paid to be fixed.
