The Best Final Fantasy Ever to date...?

I myself personally am a Big fan of Final Fantasy 10 and of coruse 7

however my best Final Fantasy game opinion lies with another game.

THE GREAT FINAL FANTASY 9 (IX)

I love it great storyline, awesome and funny characters cool enemies and great new battle system which is my favourite system so far.

Also the magic moves on there rock.

I heard something about a PC version any news on that?

i have FF 12 but haven't played it yet. i don't think FF 8 got the respect it deserved. it is fair to say that each game has progressively gotten better then the previous installment. but FF7 will probably always be the most popular, with FF10 right after that.

battle system = FF 8

Story = FF 7

best game within the game = FF 8 Triple Triad

musical score = FF 7

But that just my take on things.

FF 9  brought everything together perfectly, Eiko, Quina, Vivi, and Steiner were hilarious. and there was so many fun things to do in the game. i loved the play sword fight, i did it over and over just for fun, and the "hunting contest" at the castle was great. and i dug for hours at the lagoon.

For some reason most of my fondest memories of FF are for FFV.

Most people seem to slam this one, but It was so cool mastering all the jobs..

Final Fantasy X is by far best FF game ever. best story(very emotional/dramatic/depressive at moments), amazing Characters(auron was great) and on top of that probably one of the best music scores of all time in games. "Wandering Flame" song is awesome. I have been listening it for year and i never get tired. 

 FF 8 is my second favorit and only this two FF i have finished.

FF 9 sucked, FF12(playing 12 hours in game, not as good as X)

FF X-2 crap! Almost chick flick FF game

FFVII is my favourite, it has a great storyline, great characters, great music, and for its day, great cutscenes, however its TB battle system can get a little repetitive at times

FFX is a great game too, easily my 2nd fav.

Final Fantasy XI

FFX is my favorite FF. FFX-2 is really good only if you get the good/perfect endings.

Second place is FF8. The story is almost as good as FFX's.

FFXII was close. If it only expanded on romance, I think it would have been a perfect game. I mean it seems FFXII turned away from the "love" and just focused instead on a epic adventure.

FF7 was really my first RPG game. I hesitate to say the very first, but it's the only one that I remember. The story was wonderful and the characters were really, really good.

FF9, I couldn't stand. The characters looked like a gross experiment gone wrong (something involving children and midgets).

 I just got the game Final Fantasy IX.

I guess I'l be happy for the next 100 spear hours in my life. =]

Every FF has it's pros and cons..

but if i were to choose, i'd say FFX.. unless, of course, if they remake FF7 or FF8 :P

FF9 is also nice.. i mean i love the world and the concept of the game.. true it does looks like a kiddy game, with cute characters and stuff, but hey, i love it.. and i hate ozma.. :P 

For me it's between X and IX.  None of the other came any where close.

9 was one of the best ff games imo, the story was good, they had some of the best characters like vivi, amarant, steiner, also you could take 4 characters in battle instead of 3.

The graphics were improved, it played smoother, it had some of the best locations, nice monster designs, I just don't get why people don't like it.

FF7 is probably the best overall, then 9, then tactics.

Also 8, 10, and 6 were great games to.

My 3 favorites are

-Final Fantasy IX

-Final Fantasy VII

-Final Fantasy X

Even though I rank VII and XII really highly, VI has been my favorite since it hit the SNES way back whenever.  Great story, great characters, inventive steampunk setting, and Kefka was easily one of the craziest villians in FF history.

I hated Final Fantasy 10, that game was so linear and pointless. I loved FF7, never finished FF8, and I absolutely loved FF9. I am currently playing FF 12 and find that game to be great in a refreshing new sense.TheXboxgamer73

final fantasy 6 ( the super Nintendo version ) has to be my favorite , only because it's the most well rounded of all the ff in my opinion . final fantasy 7 is a extremly close second . i spent god knows how many hours on that game ( i beat it about 9 time's ) . final fantasy 8 is one of my fav's to and so is 9 but they lacked something 6 & 7 had ( i didn't get drawn into like the other's ) . ff10 was pretty good and 12's battle system was good but like like 8 & 9 i wasn't realy that into it . my most hated final fantasy game is FF mistiq quest . that was the first final fantasy i've ever played and imo it sux . if it wasn't for me getting bored one day and stumbling upon to ff6 . i might not of ever gotten into rpg's ever .

oh by the way , i know this is off subject but does anyone think ff8 , ff7 , and ff6 deserve a sequel or a remake ?? i would kill to see ff8 or ff6 on a next-gen or even a future gen console one day . we don't realy need a sequel to final fantasy 7 because of ff7 advent children ( which kick's butt ) but a remake would be nice . ( wishful thinking on my part i guess )
