I never played persona 3 before but from the way i videos and images looked the game doesn't look so bad to play, but the rating on it doesn't seem at all that good so just rent it, gamefly, blockbuster etc...
Definitely worth the 50 bucks. It was a breath of fresh air to come across a rpg that really stays original and not trying too hard to be "revolutionary." Soundtrack, battle system, personas, sim life, etc etc all really work well together. I was kinda turned off that it was a dungeon crawler but it soon grew on me. Honestly to tell you the truth, playing this game inspired me to obtain SMT Nocturne , Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2, and in the near future, Devil summoner. Atlus is my new SE. The scores on this game are great as well, I dont know what the other user was talking about bad scores.
The Answer: Yes Persona 3 is a MUST-HAVE RPG , it's a combination of a Bully-like enviroment& Dark Japanese Final Fantasy ...can you imagine it? of course not , just Buy It
There is a better way to describe it than saying it has a bully like environment like saying it takes place at a school with lots of other students and dorms. Other than their setting they have nothing in common.
I've never played any of the other Persona games but this looks great... I really want to play it... money is a little tight though so hopefully they'll drop the price in a few months
yeah, while it's not as great as some other say it is. I bought it for the release price and found it more than worth it. Basically take the Sims and have a head on collison with an RPG that's Persona 3. It makes the game a lot of fun across the board because people find something to enjoy out of the game. I like the rpg style and all the fighting in the tower...but my girlfriend loves the everyday common relationships in the Sims side of the game. In general it makes it a great game to play with my girlfriend and it's very enjoyable. As for the price drop situation...it won't drop in price. Sorry to break it to you but it was only released in Special Edition and therefore the number count is very limited much like Growlanser:HOW was. If you don't get it now, you'll be paying 3 times its original price within a year to find the game.
You definitely do no want to wait for a price drop when it comes to Atlus titles. They are usually limited print. GL:HOW had a one print run as well. I definitely picked that up on release.
