Simple question that I need answered beacause I can't answer it myself: Can an Un-Modded PS2 run a DVD-R DL? Not talking about burned game's here, talking about the PS'2 various supprted video formats here. So, can a PS2 run a DVD-R DL that has a video burn't onto it? Me and my friends/realtives burn all our home video's and other social events or even little cartoons we have made onto Dvd's, and rather than buying a million dvd's to put all these video's on, I'd rather use larger dvd's. And since we all have PS2's its universal that we can all watchmovie's onDVD-R's and not have to worry about burning different formats for different people. If we could use DVD-R DL's we could get nearly double capacity! No more running out of space early.
The answer I would assume is yes, the console does support DL through some of its games, but then I never tried a DL movie on it, keep us posted when you find out for sure.
Okay, I may have an answer shortly as to if DL Movie Disk's work on the PS2 or not, but before that I have another stupid question, since I haven't tried this either, or rather by chance I haven't used some other format in my years of DVD Burning. Here it is: Will the PS2 run a Burned DVD+R Movie? All mine are DVD-R, slight difference I know but it may help me in my search for more answer's. If a PS2 can't run +R DVD's then I wont be burning +R DVD DL's, and coincedently my burner does not (From information on the homepage) support DVD-R DL Disk's. (But Normal DVD-R Disk's are obviously okay)
