... the only video option is brightness.

deosnt this belong in System Wars?
Also, I agree with this. Not having video settings in a PC game is disgraceful.
When the game is saving it appears" Please do not turn off the PC." lol as if it was that easy..
When the games have subpar graphics and poor performance.
When there isn´t any graphics option.
When you can't open chests and boxes by clicking on them, but by approaching them and pressing a key (Dungeon Siege 3).
When it gets delayed with no improvements
Low FoV
No graphics options
No server browser
There's no proper keyboard/mouse controls
Your name is Crysis 2 :D
"Checkpoint reached"
"Don't turn off your console" (Yeah, some game developers really are THAT lazy)
Quicktime events
No quicksave
HUD is huge.
Limited graphic options.
Changing key bindings is a hassle.
Mouse control feels like you're swimming through a box of jello.
etc.
Ughh I only have to look at the first page and I already hate this thread to death. The term console port is the most overused and miss used term I have seen in gaming.
It's a game made by DICE.

This is about being a console port, not PC port.
@people who are saying "checkpoint reached" Crysis 1 had a checkpoint system... Anyway... When the graphics look like the console version on the highest settings When the mouse sensitivity is set to low by default. Quicktime Events Limited graphics options. Bulletstorm, I'm looking at you.QWERTYCommander
Checkpoints were really just for saving the game, which you could disable entirely.
No quicksave...ugh. F-you Crysis 2.

Why do you need a quick save key if you don't really need it? Crysis 2 is not a very difficult game and the checkpoints aren't far apart unlike in Crysis 1.
well you're gonna have to get used to it since the majority of games now are lame console ports, maybe ya didn't notice cuz ya haven't played many recent games or are simply in denial...no offenceUghh I only have to look at the first page and I already hate this thread to death. Maybe its because I don't have stupid standards that destroy my enjoyment of the games I am playing. I'd argue that some gamers here don't even care how good a game is. They just want a game that caters to their PC standards. Most of these issues that PC gamers are complaining about are so minor and have almost nothing to do with the actual game.
A game like the Witcher 2 hardly even has a PC UI or controls. That doesn't stop it from being one of the best PC games this year...

Honestly I have no issues with Gearbox and like a lot of their games. I just feel that all of their games after the Half-Life expansions were designed for a console and ported to PC. It isn't really a bad thing but the thread did ask for when you know its a console port.

well many of these "stupid standards" easily destroy the fun of way too many games that are clearly catering more and more to the console. being forced to use a gamepad and/or having a narrow fov can be extremely annoying when it could have been avoided if the game was tailored more for the PC.[QUOTE="XaosII"]UGH! I hate it when it asks you to press enter! And I hate games where you can't simply back out of a menu page by pressing ESC.. only having to click on the "back" icon. Drives me nutz!"Press Start/Enter/Space to Continue"

Whats the big deal? Just press the enter key, how does that hamper your enjoyment in anyway? I have seen far more PC exclusive games that force you to use the mouse to navigate the menus instead of simply pressing keys on the keyboard. That is not a sign of a "console port," that's simply a sign of bad design.

I agree, some people expect perfection TBH and that's not easy.
O.o This thread has gotten really heated. I wasn't really bashing on console ports, I was hoping for some light-hearted jabs instead of hate-fuelled bashing :P I actually only made it because I replayed Mass Effect 2 and the video options were resolution and brightness, which i thought was pretty funny
