A paste that goes directly between the heatsink and cpu itself. To help transfer heat better, one small tube will be enough paste for like 12 computers

Edit: forgot to mention that most new boxed cpu & heatsinks will already have enough paste on the bottom pre-applied.

Does a processor come with it's own heatsink? (Intel Core duo E6600) 

 

google would've helped =Oblazethe1

Yes its better to get a better heatsink though like a zalman 9500 + or something, same goes with thermal paste, you should get like artic silver 5.

The, uh, friction heat generated by the action in question might be less noticeable due to the heat adsorbant properties of the paste though.

The consistency of the thermal paste would prove difficult to use for that application..

Well i meant how viscous it is. Arctic silver is really thick.
