Titan Quest is so much like Diablo II it made me wish I was playing Diablo in the Titan Quest engine.

But if Blizzard makes Diablo III, do you prefer it to retain the overhead style, kind of like how Titan Quest is done, or do you think Blizzard should overhaul Diablo and make it a complete 3D RPG like Oblivion, Morrowind, Overlord, Gothic, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, etc.?

I personally prefer Diablo III to play like Titan Quest, basically the same style only with better graphics. How does everyone else feel Blizzard should do with the next Diablo game?

I'd prefer it to be like Hellgate London. Its a bit of a mix between the two. I also wouldnt mind if Hellgate and Diablo 3 were very similar. Direct competition breeds for good results.

I think it will stick to the same formula.

Very good question! I love Diablo's environment and atmosphere, but the free-roaming of Oblivion is also a huge plus.

I guess my answer would be "Like Oblivion". Choose your class, character appearance, stick Dark Messiah's combat system in there (the kick is important!), Diablo's atmoshphere/style and Oblivion's massive, free-roaming world.

Man, I'd love that.

While I loved games like Dark Messiah, I would have to vote for Diablo III being more like Titan Quest.

As long as the gameplay isn't utter crap like oblivion then I wouldn't mind seeing that sort of style, although I would really love to see a hellgate: London style of gameplay if possible.

Oblivion = sh*t, Titan Quest was fun (played almost identically to Diablo II) would be happy if it was like that.

No thanks on Oblivion-esque. I want to slaughter hundreds of enemies at the same time!

It just wouldn't be Diablo if it wasn't an isometric hack-and-slash...

That is a good question. If Diablo where to be in the first person like Oblivion minus Oblivion's problems then it would work. I also think it would be fantastic in the classic isometric view. It is a hard question to answer, but I think having the option to play in both views would be great. These days they are doing that kind of thing more often and it would not surprise me if something like that happened with Diablo 3 if there ever will be one.

I'd like to see Diablo III offer the isometric view of the first two but with the option to zoom down to a third person view kinda like they did with the Spellforce games. I think it'd be fun to zoom in when you are just about to finish off a boss monster so you can watch it's death up close.

Yeah, that would be cool. I'd also like there to be a real combat system rather than a click-fest. I wasn't able to make it through Diablo II or Titan Quest 'cause the combat was extremely boring, which is a bad thing for an action RPG. But lots of people like that sort of style and it would probably be best for the Diablo fans if they kept the click-fest for the third game.
