The Just Cause 2 demo completely floored me. I love this demo. I had no intentions of even buying this game, but now it's at the top of my list.

Something about the demo rubbed me the wrong way. I assume I will pick it up eventually when it is less expensive, like I did with th first one.

Probably wait till later too, not cause it'll be cheaper, but cause I've been playing GTA4 for the last few weeks and it's quite similar. Need to finish or even install quite a few other games. Takes me forever to finish a game these days, kinda miss being unemployed, but not being broke tho.

I'm rowing back and forth on a day-one purchase, but I know that I'll be getting it.

The demo was fun the first few times, then it got boring. I can see that happening with the full game.

I thought it was a good demo but it uses Steamworks so I won't be buying it.

From playing both demos for both JC and JC2, JC2 is a huge improvement, IMO.

As far as DRM goes Steam is nicer than others but I have grown tired of programs telling me how I can play games I paid for with my own money.

Steam has never screwed me but I have gotten to the point that I don't like the fact I have to open Steam to play any of my games. Especially the games that I bought from a retail store. I miss the days where I could pop in the discs and run the files. For GTA IV I had to have Steam open, Rockstar Social Club, and GFWL all at the same time, just to run one game.

Why do you care? Its not like their are any disadvantages for having Steam open in the background...

I care because I bought the game. I should eb able to run it how I want to. If I don't want another program open I shouldn't have to have it open.

Personally I love steam. Anyway from what I can tell from pc gaming now and to the future, we either deal withSteam or Ubisofts DRM. Personally, Im hoping that all future pc games use steam

Steam and Games For Windows Live and online authentication checks a la Ubisoft's new DRM and programs such as The Rockstar Social Club, are all the way of the future for PC gamers.

You may as well just accept it. If you don't, then you're just going to be mad and frustrated all the time. Either that or you'll be doing all your gaming on that hunk of junk known as the 360. I find that hardware to be depressing. Games on the console just suck. It's time to put the 360 out to pasture - its day is done.

There seems to be a consensus here that people aren't convinced it's worth its price. I'm one of them. I had the same experience with Red Faction - Guerrilla, bought it in a Steam sale and I'm glad I paid no more. There was much fun to be had, but ultimately it was a little shallow.

I hope your wrong but if the day comes where there are no DRM free/disc check only games then I will go for DRM. In the mean time I can still find some DRM free/disc check games only so I will focus on buying those that I enjoy and meet my DRM requiremnts.

See thats whats odd for me. I loved RFG. I would buy it twice. Amazing game. Yeah maybe shallow in terms of story, but a the missions were great and had a nice level of difficulty to them. And the level of destruction was rediculous. If it only had a better MP system for PC. I get that the destruction could seem gimmicky, but it really did change the way you play the game. I'm a little sad now that I can just drive through buildings in other games.

I most likely will, it was much better than I expected really. Only thing that was off from the first one was vehicle control, which is terrible, and air vehicles are soooo slow. Other than that though seemed very cool.

Demo actually turned me off to this game. It's fun for 1/2 hour then you find out its rather shallow and repeatitive.

Assassins Creed 2 is way better all around and much better value. When JC2 is like $10 I might get it to mess around if I have nothing else to play.
