Which of these two chips is faster/better?

Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 Processor (2.2GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache)

AMD Turion II Ultra Dual-Core Processor M600 (2.4GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache)

These are two laptops I'm considering. Everything is the same on them except screen size and processor. Both laptops come with 4GB memory.

Thanks.

*pssst* Intel. lol Doesn't Intel have a better mobile processor than AMD anyhow? I've lost a lot of confidence in Intel as of late so I think I'm being bias. :P

yes that core 2 dominates the Turion II ... one is a true dual core whereas one is a split core architecture. Your probably going to be more limited by your graphics card/integrated card than either of these though in the long run. Focus more on which one provides better graphics.

Okay thanks. According to the laptop description of the graphics card it says: "Chassis with Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD with up to 1759MB of Intel® Dynamic Video Memory Technology 5.0, supporting Microsoft® DirectX® 10 and Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset" How good would this laptop be for casual gaming? Like an occasional game of WoW or Borderlands? The full specs list is here: http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668308.php

The 4500MHD is just better than the X1300, but thats not great mate. Won't even run SC2 nicely on high. Probably low. Not a great gaming chipset. Here is someones experience with that graphics chipset: Half-Life 2 - 1280x800, Anisiotropic, all details high, no-AA Max Performance (15/15 bright, max speed) - 30 w, 42 FPS Max Battery (0/15 bright, min speed) - 15w, 33 FPS Hope that helped liquid! Also core2 is better.

Yeah the main reason I'm buying this laptop is for school work, browsing, and whatnot. I get it's not a great chipset, but what games would you guess it could run and on what setting?
