All things (fabs are ready from TSMC, Nvidia already has engineer samples, etc etc) point towards April of 2016 at GTC (GPU Technology Conference).

We will get more info in the upcoming months in order to be sure...

AMD shouldn't be far behind in their release schedule either.

What ??? IT says 10x more powerful than current gen graphic cards ? Is that true ? So if I have a GTX 980, something 10x more powerful ? :0 or 10x more powerful than the shittiest current graphic card?

@Hydrolex

Nvidia said it’s unrealistic to see anything like a 10X faster performance in the vast majority of applications,

"Nvidia’s CEO went on to state that pascal will be 10 times faster than Maxwell and he arrived at this conclusion via what he calls “CEO math”. Obviously this was just a humorous way to impress the crowd at GTC 2015"

The ten times faster was about Nvlink cause Pascal will be 10X faster than Maxwell but only in the communication with the CPU, not in performance.

The high end cards won't be out until the end of next year at the earliest. MY prediction for the first budget Pascal card is May 23rd

@klunt_bumskrint:

Do you think it would be beneficial to upgrade from GTX 980 to the new card ? Let's assume I could sell my card for 250 300 then, I would have to put down 200 - 300 for a new card

DO you mean go from 980 to a 980ti or 980ti to pascal? What do you have now? Be more clear, what's that currency?

@klunt_bumskrint: I have GTX 980. I thought about upgrading to GTX 980ti but I think I should wait for Pascal. I love playing games at maximum settings, I don't know why. U.S. dollars

I'd just see if you can find a used 980 and get your SLI on, you'll get more frames generally. What res do you game at?

@klunt_bumskrint:

1440p

But I hear 4GB vram wouldn't be really enough in the next year. That's why I'm afraid of buying another 980

With Dx 12, would it be possible to combine Sli vram ? 4gb + 4gb = 8?
