i was wondering what everyone was doing to their rigs for the new gen games.

old setup:

amd phenom II 965 3.4ghz Black Edition

m4a87td/usb3 mobo

gtx 550ti 2gb

8gb g. skill ripjaws 1600

1tb western digital HDD

new setup:

amd phenom II 965 Black Edition overclocked to 4.2ghz, cooler master 212 evo cooler added, arctic silver 5 applied

same mobo

gtx 760 superclocked

16gb g. skill ripjaws 1600

2tb WD HDD

just a few simple upgrades, i would like to upgrade to a new mobo and processor though, as well as SLI 760's. it was fun experimenting with overclocking the cpu. somehow i'm still running at stock voltage and don't hit more than 47C running Battlefield 4.

also, i was using a EVGA GTX 650 ti BOOST Superclocked for less than 2 months and it ripped, but my girlfriend bought me a 760. if anyone is interested i have the 650 ti B SC listed on Ebay, item number: 251373381512

what are you guys getting into?

Hopefully by next year I will have crossfire HD 7950s or a R9 290 and I really want to get a new case, corsair air 540, and I need to buy some more storage and RAM very soon because 4GB is not enough anymore and as for storage I only got 100GB (should be good for a few more months) left out of my 1200GB, so I am looking to get maybe a 2TB HDD. As for my i5 3570k, seasonic x750 and asus p8zz7v they are not getting replaced anytime soon.

Mine still is a 3570K running at 4.3, a GTX 680 and 16GB 1600MHz RAM.

I hope I got money to upgrade once 20nm cards are out. Hopefully the 880 or AMD equivalent will (with stock settings) put my 680(when OC'ed) to shame. If not I can wait a little longer.

7970GE for now, it eats up any game at max settings at 1440p. I have an AMD 1100T for a CPU, which isnt much to brag about, so I'm unsure whether to change that out sometimes soon or not. Maybe an 8350 or something

Still kicking:

Q6600 @3.0ghz

570GTX

4GB

Not going to upgrade until next gen though...still playing the majority of games at max/high @1080p so until some new games come out the bring my system to it's knees there's no point for me to upgrade yet.

Still haven't put together my new rig, it's an i5, 8 gig of RAM and a 7870 Tahiti LE

I'm having a sense of trepidation about this build, very nervous.

Still sporting the rig I made a while back.. I5 2500k at 4.4ghz overclock.. 8gb of ram and HIS 7850 2gb radeon card.. And I don't plan on upgrading for a while because I have yet to see a game where I don't acceptable performance with at 1080p.. The only thing I will upgrade down the road would be video card, or possibly go into crossfire.
