to me it was JERICHO I really found that game enjoyable..... just dont get why it was under 7 :L

Just Cause 2 and Red Faction: Guerrilla, both only got 8.5 for their PC versions and yet their gameplay surpasses that of even that of games made with other steroid pumped game engines(which look like pipsqueaks in comparison to Avalanche and Geomod). Also, Postal 2, I think it deserved at least a 7 or 7.5 because for a cheap arcade priced game back in 2003, it was pretty darn good. I guess the violence gave the reviewers nightmares  I wish there were a site that judged games by gameplay only, rather than putting so much weight on fluff(cutscenes, voiceacting, etc).
I agree with Alpha Protocol. I loved that game.Risen, Alpha Protocol and New Vegas as far as the last few years go (Dead Island to I would give higher then 7).
Alot of my fav games seem to be 7 or 8/10 scores by reviewers.

I'll go with:
1. Alpha Protocol
2. Battlefront series
I enjoyed Jericho, but I only paid $5 for it. I could easily understand rating it so poorly if you had paid $50... The only thing unique/good about it was the gruesome environments/settings.
While it's definately not an underrated game, gamespot scorewise....yeah. Only .2 points ahead of Invisible War. ~.~Deus Ex.
8.2? You must be shrooming.

IMO it's got to be Scratches. They absolutely reamed that game with a 3.9 score. I played it and thought it was great.
legend of dragoon or diablo 2, 6.4 and 8.5

I have to agree with Diablo 2. I'm still playing it 10 years later so it must be pretty damn good IMO.
I just recently started playing titan quest (about 45 hours in) and i feel it was a definite 8.5 or higher, instead of a 7.6
There's a ton, Red Faction 3:Guerrilla, Red Faction 4: Armageddon,Just Cause 2, Postal 2, Singularity, Timeshift, ARMA II, DarkSector, Cryostasis, Audiosurf, E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy, Hard Reset, Zeno Clash, Bulletstorm, Freespace 2(9.4 is too low for this game), and pretty much anything that tries to stand out, be unique, offer something special, and so on and so forth.
That game got a 7.6? Weird. Then I agree with you that it's underrated. TQ is the best Diablo-like game there is, not counting Diablo. Torchlight got an 8, and that's like a super simplified Diablo..I just recently started playing titan quest (about 45 hours in) and i feel it was a definite 8.5 or higher, instead of a 7.6

STALKER SoC is also in the same boat. It's pretty much my favorite game of all time. How it scored so low is beyond me. It just goes to show the bias GS as well as many other review sites have towards large budget titles.SF_KiLLaMaN
My problems are with the other two Stalker games. Clear Sky was buggy (it adds to the charm lol) but it had a ton of new content. CoP is the most polished and has the most refined mechanics, plus anoter crapload of content. They deserved better scores IMO.
Recently I would say Dead Island. While Dead Island did borrow gameplay elements from both Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising, it didnt just copy and paste them, it improved them. It took Dead Rising's weapon modding and leveling system and added a Skill Tree and expanded the upgrade system so that you could upgrade the stats as well as the weapon itself. It took Left 4 Dead's blood and gore system and added the ability to break bones and curbing stomping and rewarded you for doing so. As for the special infected, I will take a crazy zombie on steroids with a straitjacket and two fully grown arms over a charger any day. Sure the voice acting sucked and the eyes of the humans made me want to bash my face on my desk so I could get rid of the evil stare of doom each character had, but story-wise Dead Rising 2 was not much better, and neither was Left 4 Dead. At the very least Dead Island deserved way more than a 7, the co-op system was just as decent as Left 4 Dead or Dead Rising 2, and overall I would say Dead Island was a 8.5 to a 9, not a 7.0

yeah. I was confused how they could give CoP a worse score than MW2.Rating systems in general are really corrupt. It's not even really about how good the game is, it's typically just the name that matters. Putting a number on any game is unfair, as it really depends on what you like and how tolerable you are when it comes to games. This and the fact that different scores mean different things to different people makes the whole numbering system really pointless.
I would say I don't think numbers should even be involved, but if you realize this and stop caring so much about the numbers, it won't make a difference what any place says your favorite games are, you enjoy them and that should be enough.
Also gamespot over thelast few years are unreliable when it comes to scores..Its a shame used to be able to trust them..Now its all about pleasing publishers with the fattest wallet instead of being honest with reviews..Id wish they would bring back the old days..So we ca trust them again.Come here for the community really..The friends ive made over the years..Its really a great place to come and chat about games..Also imiss the old front page of gamespot..This new one is lacking some thing the old one had..
Alpha protocol is a underrated game as they can get..Its a real shame we will never see another one..Just get rid of the mini game to unlock stuff..Game deserved a8 just on the fun factor alone..Sure it was a buggy mess when it shipped but stil fun to play..
