What was the first game you played on your homebuilt rig?

Mine was the witcher 2. (Only built recently) my parts all arrived the day after the game was delivered to me. So as soon as I got the system running and had all my drivers up to scratch etc. I cranked that bad boy up and it was the most glorious moment ever. Not a bad way to start my PC gaming.

So how about you?

Yeah, pretty bad way to kick it off. I had a gaming PC from Dell before I built my own though.

Bad Company 2. Played the beta on my old PC and realised I would have to upgrade. That was my first full homebuilt rig. First time I ever upgraded my PC was putting a new gpu and psu into my home computer so I could run fear, oblivion and bf3.

I'm just hoping I don't have to upgrade for BF3 or Skyrim.

Up until that point I had been a console gamer since the Atari 2600 days, and it was not only the first time I had seen Crysis maxed out, it was also the first time I had seen any game maxed out @ 1920x1080. Needless to say, I was totally blown away.

I thought I was happy with my 360 and PS3, but when I saw my PC hooked up to my 50" Samsung plasma, running all of my games @ 60 FPS and 1920x1080, I was like :shock: :D :shock: :D :shock: :D :shock: :D

Either Crysis or Call of Duty 4. Probably Crysis :P those two were followed by SoC

Batman: Arkham Asylum. Every possible setting turned up to the max. All in glorious 1080p.

I was the same. First time to ever see a game maxed out running at high frames and I too was a console gamer. I was stunned. I thought 60 fps wouldn't make a difference but its so silky smooth.

Now I have a Windows 7 64-bit, Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4 GB RAM DDR2, GTX 460 SE 1 GB

Wing Commander 2. My first DIY PC was back in 1992. Cool. I still have a photo of it in my dorm taken in 1993 after I installed a then new tech 1x cd-rom drive. He He.

Counter-Strike 1.6, just for testing purposes. But I got Crysis soon after.

Blimey, I can't remember. I built my current rig 2 and a half years ago. Maybe it was Crysis. Or STALKER. Or Oblivion.

I probably played Half-Life 2 as well. But that's because it's my favourite game, and not so much because I wanted to see what my rig could do.
