Where is the Microsoft love? Logitech? Does Razer dominate the gaming mouse world?

If only I had a good mouse mat to go with the mouse. The new Habu from Razer + MS seems interesting.

I think you exaggerate a bit about the mouse. You only need a mouse that is suitable to your hand..

Logitech MX Revolution and when it's charging, your average everyday 2 button generic "comes with the computer" mouse. I've never heard of Razer... will have to take a look..

An optical logitech mouse - It has no text on in whatsoever so I can't tell you the type.
I like this mouse because it is simple, gives smooth control and doesn't weigh a thing.

For me this is a no-brainer.  I use a logitech cordless trackball.  Spinning your head around and-or aiming your reticule becomes amazingly precise, and I can set the mouse anywhere without having to move it around on a flat surface.  I don't know why trackballs are not the mouse of choice for gaming, but once you've gone track, you never go back!

My original Logitech MX1000 is now 2 full years old and still kicking, theres no text on either after my sweaty ass hands rubbed it all off.

I hate EVERY Mouse made, have been using a Trackball so long I forget how long it has been, close to since their invention.  If I wanted to have to move something around I would buy a Laptop, same logic applies for the mouse why move around if you do not have to.  Granted there is a stumbling block to get over while using a trackball in adjusting your hand to the different stresses, but once that is accomplished, you can easily switch between like trackballs.  I only use thumb driven trackballs, hate the finger trackballs almost as bad as I do Mice.

I think my mouse cost me $10 Australian. Its optical, light and easy to pickup. Ive had it for about 5 years with no problems so i don't understand why you guys would go out and spend a fortune on "gaming" mouses when these basic ones work just as well, imo.

wait for it... Im using the Habu... nice looking microsoft / razer mice with the right feel to it... not like logitech (too heavy and hand design isnt too fit) blue glowpipes, interchangable thumb buttons, 7 programmable buttons, what more can you ask for.
