what is the recent PC game that's kind of like Blade Runner?

I saw spot for it on G4 but can't remember the name of this game, seemed be very graphic intensive and you're some kind of bounty Hunter in the future,remind me a lot of Batman Arkham city and Arkham Asylums detective mode, where you have to kind of follow their trail in an x-ray mode? any ideas?

Short? It is probably about the same as the first one, which is 50ish hours. IMO both are too long for what they offer. Great games, but they tend to drag on a few hours too long.

Actual since no one said it, try looking at Hard Reset, there are areas in that game that is dead ringer for Blade Runner.

Too bad you aren't a bounty hunter following peoples trails in DE:HR, unlike prey 2 which is exactly what the game is.

I was right with the first response, there is even a g4 video on youtube from e3, dunno how people can say hard reset and syndicate. Deus Ex is only similar to his discription with Blade Runner, maybe see through the walls (can't remember if that was in the game), but you are definitely not a bounty hunter.

You might've seen a screenshot of independent French rpg/fps E.Y.E divine cybermancy. some of the early zones are nearly defined byBlade Runner lore. one of the zones is even named "Electric Sheep" which is a book that Blade Runner is based on/inspired by. Also, all humans (and i use that term loosely as the most human looking things in the game are the looters and the hot chics in the gun ads) have cybernetic brains. You can try to hack them, recruit them, possess them or just pull out any of the very satisfying guns and shootat them. you can also summon clones to fight with you. levitate and hurl objects. and fight deadly and gigantic robots that are given the very cyberpunk name Deus Ex Machinas. its not without its problems as its an indy game made by ten people but i think you should definitely google some screenshots of the games being mentioned in this thread as E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy is like a love letter to Blade Runner's 21st century L. A.

lemme see, a few posabilities...

DE:HR - Not really about a bountyhunter, but rather a firm security agent.

Hard Reset (most likely this one) A freelance bountyhunter out to find out why the machines are going haywire. It is VERY blade runner esque, is a FPS, looks quite great.

EYE - straight farward indie game based on a board game, its simple and is not very Blade runner-esque

Buy 1 and 3 (HR), but stay far far away from the 2nd one its garbage garbage garbage. 1st and 3rd are fantastic though!

Sorry. I don't do TV at my house and only watch TV when at my parent's house, so I don't watch G4 all that often. I didn't know Prey 2 had any sort of X-Ray mode. I had been playing BL:R and it does and since it was in beta, I figured it had a bit on G4. My bad.

i dont watch g4 either but its the first thing that comes up on youtube for prey 2 :P
