Vampire Masquerade and other older games worth it?

I got on the PC bandwagon just recently, and I've heard some great things about this game. My question is if there are enough mods to make the game look decent and playable for today's standards?

I got the STALKER games on the Steam summer sale due to the Complete Mods that were released.

If you can recommend any games from the same time-frame, that have been moded similarly do let me know.

I was also thinking of the KOTOR games, had they been decently moded?

Still remains the best video game about vampires. Play it. Loved it back in the day.
