Is it possible to use a smart repeater as an access point? I'm having trouble setting up an internet connection to my brothers new desktop. I have an Amped Wireless SR300 to extend wifi connections, and when I connected the extender to the PC, I get an unidentified connection. I also used the troubleshooting but it claims that the connection has no valid IP address.
He is using Windows 8 Pro, and the desktop is built from the groundup from me.
