i was thinking about getting mirrors edge, but I already have enough games from the summer Steam sale. I'd rather pick up Mirrors Edge at the winter steam sale so I can keep it on Steam.

I also don't like giving money to EA.

I really want to get that Spore game for my son. For $4.99 you can't go wrong. I have been waiting for a drastic price drop on that game for a long time.

my thoughts exactly! the only game i want in that list is mirror's edge which has gone for $5 on steam a few times. Im currnelty sitting at 197 games after i bought a boat load during the steam summer sale and im ok with waiting til the black friday/winter sale, especially since i still pick up worthy titles during daily deals.

Edit: oh and ya i dont like giving EA my money as well and i dont intend on supporting origin. steam and gog are enough for me

If you haven't played it you need to. It's probably the freshest game released in the past 5 years. There's nothing else like it out there, the game is truly unique. gameguy6700

Myself (and many others) felt that the game was a frustrating mess.

Not that I am trying to rain on anyone's parade, I'm just saying that a lot of people were not thrilled with the game.

i thought it was bad, in fact, the battlefield franchise no longer appeals to me and i loved bf2 to death, but i guess the fps genre has just become extremely stale for me. i am only looking forward to red orchestra 2 and thats about it. bc2 and bf3 can kick rocks

Well its not bad but it aint great either, tons of bugs and glitches.

with my old rig i never had an issue getting kicked. with my new and alot more powerful rig, i get kicked constantly in bf2 to the point where i just basically cant play it lol. 2142 was so much fun but i hear that it's practically dead now. i never had a problem getting kicked or anything like that, but again that was with my old rig. i havnt played it ever since i got my most recent rig which i acquired over a year ago, so im sorry to say im not sure. i have a feeling you would have punkbuster kick issues since i remember 2142's server master list looked and ran exactly like bf2's

Might be North America only? Canada gets the deal, maybe not Mexico though..

So is 2142 worth getting? I mean how dead is it really? If it's possible to find a semi full match on a regualar basis I'd be happy

The only complaint about frustrating play I've ever heard regarded the gun sections of the game. Other than that the game seems to get unanimous praise.gameguy6700

It is a common complaint with the game, even Gamespot listed it as a negative when they reviewed the game and gave it a 7/10.

man, I want BF 2142 and BF2 simply for nostalgia's sake, but dunno if I should...still, 10 bucks for both?

also, does stuff bought via the website store automatically get linked to your Origin program/launcher thingy?

I'll probably pick up MOH:Airborne, but i'm not sure if it works for Windows 7. I remember on the steam forums they said you needed to remove and reinstall physx or something to get it working, but that may only be the steam or retail verson. Accroding to thisit is compatible, but I'm not sure if that is with the physx thing or not
