Hey guys, just a quick question for everyone. I am thinking about picking up The Witcher Enhanced but I wanted to know if it runs on Windows 7, seeing as how I am running Windows 7.

I, for some reason, have had performance issues with the game on W7 x64. My rig should be able to run it maxed out with no problem at 60+ FPS, but for some reason, in even moderately intense sequences, the game drops to 20 or lower. Can't figure it out. I have the Steam version, by the way.
The game uses NWN2's Aurora engine. If you are running Witcher Enhanced, with more than x4 AA on and full x16 AF, you should be experiencing some lag. HD 5850 is good, but it's not that powerful.I, for some reason, have had performance issues with the game on W7 x64. Its just not a well optimized game. Go read any review of it. Its probably the only complaint about the game you'll see in every review. It happens even without AA/AF, which is why I'm stumped.

I have the Witcher enhanced edition and its patched up to version 1.5.
Version 1.5 removes the need for the Tages protection.
Am Running it on Win 7 64 bit.
My problem is that the game crashes after a while.
I either get the Black screens or the BSOD.
Other games like Titan Quest:Immortal throne/Supreme Commander run fine.
Tried the compatibility modes XP variants and they did not work.
Would like to play and finish this game.
[QUOTE="CagedOkami"]Left it on overnight, got speeds of 500KB/S which is the normal for me.i think the real question is...
how the hell did you get it to finish downloading:P
