i don't regret buying any games. i've bought some stinkers, but at least i got to try them and satisfy my curiosity.
[QUOTE="ciannix"]World of Warcraft... I had a fair character and i was having fun when all of the sudden WotLK comes out, and my lappy cant handle the freaking game! what a waste of around $100 (I didn't get to play for all that long).FelipeInsideSo u regret buying a game which YOUR PC can't handle....???
It makes sense, he regrets buying all of it because he can't run it. He said himself he liked the core game.
bf 2142 dELUXE eDITION..... Norther Strike Booster Pack was a complete waste...never downloaded properly and EA's on-line support is a total joke and rip-off ! ...........

Alone in the Dark and Far Cry 2. I paid 50 for both. :(
I would say FEAR 2, but I only paid 30 bucks for it. So I didn't mind it much at all, it was worth the 30 bucks.
Happened to me too. Had to email them for me to get it.bf 2142 dELUXE eDITION..... Norther Strike Booster Pack was a complete waste...never downloaded properly and EA's on-line support is a total joke and rip-off ! ...........

Easily Shattered Union. I watched the trailer and thought "this looks interesting"; got it, installed it and it was frankly broken from the beginning. A horrific mess of bugs and issues, each of which forced me to quit and restart. I never finished more than the first mission.
None really. I normally do a lot of research before I buy a game.
If I have to find one, then maybe Splinter Cell Double Agent, for the pc.
Not that it was a terrible game itself, it was worse then the 3 before it, but it was more on the level of how buggy and unoptimized the game really was. I had read that it was like that, but I coundt believe it was THAT buggy! It was the game that really made me listen to what gamers said about new games from ubisoft. I mean, when a company can release a game in that state, then you need to be very, VERY careful, when thinking about getting a new game from them.
Games I regret buying?
Daikatana - an over-hyped buggy mess. I did play it to the end, and there were some interesting things in the game, but the execution left a lot to be desired.
Contract J.A.C.K. - it just wasn't anywhere near as much fun as the NOLF games, and bascially felt like an experiment for doing a straightforward shooter, or slapping together a few left-over levels from NOLF 2.
Sniper Elite - because I've never been able to get it to run properly. It always crashes within five minutes, and there was never a patch to fix it.
Codename Outbreak - constant crashes due to bugs, so I could never complete it. I did like the concept of the game, though.
American Conquest - the demo ran fine on my rig, but the full game wouldn't even start up. Tried everything, could never fix it, so I never got a chance to play it.
And now comes the controversial bit - I regret buying all games that contain StarForce and SecuROM 7.xx. Even though I really like some of the games themselves, these two copy protection system messed up my PC in various ways (including killing or disabling DVD drives), and I won't ever install them again - so in that respect it was a waste of money. I have 'repurchased' a couple of those titles now, but as the X360 versions. And I'm starting to do that more and more just to avoid SecuROM, and for that matter, limited installations.
Star Wars: Force Commander...after waiting forever and a day for it to come out, just to pay good money for a pile of stink. I groaned at hearing the Rock version of the Imperial March and screamed at seeing the menu come up with no words at all.
I shouldn't have to use the Force to figure out what the buttons on the GUI are for! That's definitely one way to make a game challenging.
Indigo Prophecy was an amazing game

I agree, the game was very good, I didn't say that game itself wasn't.....the deal breaker for me was the game's horrible controller and camera issues. They sucked so bad it made the game unplayable for me.....:(

Ahh that festering pile of demon spawn. May hell reserve a special place for the developers of that game. I was one of the lucky ones who had their entire hard drive erased by that games super efficient uninstall utility.
Titan Quest- Hack Free, Hack Free oh and Hach Free. Bad Multiplayer
Fallout 3-Didn't like the fact when I put it in eagle's eye view that the character running looks really choopy and so I quit. Oh and the fact that the game is very limited.
Empire Total War- Didn't like it! NO stragety involved, barely any micro, and macro invovled. Too much bugs.
Lord Of The Rings war of The Ring- Worst game ever! Period!!!
dead space
call of duty 5
the witcher
command and conquer 3
gears of war (pc)
winning eleven 9
battfield 2- thought there was a singleplayer campaign, but no, only online
