Today GoG.com just released SWAT 4 onto their platform completely DRM-free. SWAT 4 was never available on any digital platform before.

If you want to play the multiplayer for the game you'll have to do a little bit of Googling to find out how to play with others.

With the expansion, this was one of the best PC games ever made IMO

I'd be thrilled if anyone could be bothered to make #5

The A.I. is one of my favorite parts of the game. Sometimes very unpredictable (unlike most A.I).

Are you talk about, enemy AI, Team AI, or just AI in general? I'm playing it on hard and find it to be a decent challenge. Enemy placement is randomized and they move around the levels a lot. They don't always react by shooting you - sometimes they will run, other times they will drop their weapons and surrender. Often you're going against low level thugs so you shouldn't expect them to be perfect shots or behave according to strict military tactics.

I played the demo back when it came out and was VERY impressed.

People probably know, but this is by Irrational, pre-Bioshock, and it's very much in the mold of System Shock 2/Bioshock, I thought, but with a different theme. I didn't expect it to be as cool as it seemed, though of course the graphics that were jaw dropping when it came out are probably just "okay" now, but still.
