Okay, so I'm contemplating getting a SSD to put in the my system, which has a HDD already in use. I'll install Windows 7 on the SSD, then can I plug the HDD back in and use it as normal? Or does it need to be formatted? If it does, I can transfer the HDD stuff to an external, format it, then put it back on the internal HDD... right?

Just looking for some clarification. Thanks.

No need to format, just install Windows on the SSD and boot from the SSD, then access your other HDD like a secondary.
