Hello there, If i get the sims 3 for my laptop could i run the sims 3 in Xp Compatibility mode, cause i have enough processing power for XP, but too little for Vista.

"CPU Speed
Minimum: (XP) 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent; (Vista) 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent

Mine is 2.16 GHz

I don't think it works that way, Vista will still work in the background regardless.

Your only 100% answer will be by trying it out for yourself. If you're not satisfied with performance (I wouldn't be if I tried it on your system) then I'd suggest upgrading to Windows 7 or waiting to see if anyone makes a patch or mod that disables some of the performance features to allow it to work better.

If your CPU is a dual core, it will work.

You'll be fine - they mention a 2.4GHz Pentium 4 equivalent. To put it lightly, either core from your dual-core 2.16GHz T3400 absolutely murders a 2.4 P4.
