C&C 3 definitely!  STALKER felt like a waste of money to me.  I like the graphics, but the huge maps make it hard to find anything, and the hit detection is really off or just very weird.  ;)

It depends on what you like more... Real-Time Strategies, or First Person Shooter/RPG hybrids. If you like RTS, go with C&C. If you prefer FPS/RPGs, go with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

I would go for Stalker.  I just got it and love it. Command and Conquer will be good but is more expensive.  IT really depends on whether you like fps or rts more.

STALKER for sure!  Its one of the creepiest games I have ever played.  Very well done and the environments are just over the top!  I have not played C&C 3 but I'm so sick of RTS games I can't imagine wanting it over STALKER.

CNC3.  Much better game overally even though they can't really be compared.  Stalker was just...blah when all was said and done.

  1. Get C&C3 as Stalker was going to be a ggod game untill someone decided to elliminate the vehicles, there was suposed to be cars and trucks to drive and all of a sudden their gone ? so now your running around this huge area when it was designed to be driven, Stalked is only half a game!

You'll need a hefty right for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Yet, it's such a unique game -- I haven't played anything like it barring Boiling Point -- that you'd be missing out if you didn't at least try it.

CnC3, for sure. One of the very very very few games I was willing to go to the launch event and line up for a limited edition with launch event goodies.
you shouldve made a poll.. might be easier to visually what people recomend more..

Well...Stalker is a great game if you like playing for ten minutes and then have your computer freeze up.

If they ever have a patch that works it probably would be a fun game.

Get C&C...at least it plays.

Cheers.

It all depends on what you like, but if you like both genres like me and got the cash then buy both. But if you have to pick one then go with cnc 3, stalker is an okay game, but the beginnning in stalker sucks because you dont have some good weapons to kill all the soldiers you meet plus in the beginning there aint really any monsters. The middle is a lot better where you get a lot of the cool and fun weapons and get to have some nice scary encounters with some monsters, but the final part of the game is mowing trougn litterally hundreds of soldiers which gets very linear and boring and its like the great things about the game goes right out the window. CnC 3 sounds like very well done fun.

I have not had it lock up or crash once in over 5 hours of play.  And my system is nothing great by today's standards.  It runs great with static lighting.  I do agree with what the other guys said though.  The lack of vehicles is really lame.  I keep seeing an abandon truck or car or all those helicopters thinking "Finally I get to drive and or fly somewhere!!"  But nope.  Still the incredible environment of the game makes up for a ton of its other short comings and should not be missed.  Just look at all the threads about this game.  The environment is so unique because it puts you in the middle of a real world disaster area.  It could have been a lot better but its still brilliant and will easily be one of the most talked about games of the year.

I don't see C&C 3 being talked about much at all.

Well now that I rolled back my ATI drivers to 6.7 it no longer crashes.

This is a fantastic open game with all the little stuff I love, nice n open feel, bodies stay,blood...kinda living world.

If it works on your machine get this game...it just frustrating that it doesn't flow smoother (framerate) for my PC, but it's totally playable.

Cheers!
