These are not my screens they are from another forum. But I am just relaying information. There is a futuremark/3d mark vantage bench 5770 vs 4890 below.

Now the meat and potatoes, its only futuremark mark but its nice to see anyways. This is a HD 5770 vs HD 4890

5770 @ stock

hd5770 850/1200 @960/1340 vgpu@stock below

Stock 4890 futuremark on the same system.

4890 moderate overclock

We'll see how it does in video games soon enough. It is, however; shaping up to be great.

Hm I have 30 days to return my 4890 though, mine has a custom cooler on it and it only cost $165. I'll have to think about it.

well if it cost you nothing or very little to return 4770 has dx11 and eyefinity and the drivers are not matured yet so you can expect better performance as times goes on

I assume you mean 5770. Well I haven't returned something on newegg be4 though I hear they are pretty good about it. I'll consider it.

If the 5770 delivers the same performance as a 4890 and is the same price, expect to see the end of the 4890's life cycle. The 5770 will feature Eyefinity, DX11 support, lower power consumption, lower temperaturesand 40nm architecture. Basicly, it will cost alot less to make a 5770 than a 4890 for AMD.

I'm not so sure about that...Who knows when Nvidia is going to churn out their 300 series, so far I am immensely disappointed in Nvidia for being so slow, and being way to uninformative when dealing with their 300 series, it seems as if they don't even know what they want to do with it. Not to mention we don't even know the price points, for all we know they could release one card that's $600 and call it the most powerful GPU on the market, pat themselves on the back and call it a day. I'm beginning to lose faith. ATI is on the ball though.

i highly doubt that they didn't even have an actually card to show at one of there press conferences that how far behind they are Q1 2010 is a better estimate.

They said the chip is working fine,,,its just fugly so they didnt want to show it,,,,,and if thats the case its not so bad because putting a GPU onto a board wont be a very hard process.

It wouldn't surprise me if that is just PR junk. I am not Nvidia but I got a feeling anything before 2010 is hoping on a miracle.

Oh ya dude, the 4890 is over, I bet they have already stopped manufacturing it as the 5770 is much, much cheaper for them to build so they can make much more money off of it.
