Problem with steam just now?

Hey i just cant get steam to work properly... its really slow and the store shop items and everything shows up at the home screen but it says no connection at the bottom and says im offline. Is it the same for any of you?

No problem on my end, try restarting the client or your PC.

No problems here either. Try shutting down other applications which might be using your bandwidth; I've had similar problem when I idiotically tried to start Steam while watching a Youtube video.

try re install your steam but backup your games first

Before you do a clean re-install, delete all files and folders except "Steamapps" and "Userdata." Restart Steam and it will redownload all those files (that were deleted), to give it sorta like a fresh install.   It has fixed a few issues with Steam for me.  I've always used this method and it's the quickest and easiest way.

Sometimes Steam is like that for me. It shows that I'm offline, loads slowly and it's really painful. It does right itself though

No problems here.

Just restart Steam. If the problem continues, restart your computer.
