playing EA/Ubisoft multiplayer game with steam id?

When playing an ea or Ubisoft game with steam, does my steam Id show up in game so I can add people to steam list or will the games use origin/Uplay id and I can only add players to origin and Uplay?

for Ubi games, you'll need Uplay to manage friends

I believe recent EA stuff isn't even on steam so you'll need Origin for those as well to add/invite friends.
