i've got a big problem with my PC (its a Dell Dimention 9200, running Windows Vista Premium), the other morning it was using it, left it for about an hour, when i came back, the screen was blank like in standby mode, tried to restart it, but didnt respond. I then attempted to restart, it went to a status screen with the options to repair the problem, or start windows normally. If i try to start windows normally it seems to work, but then goes to a blank screen. if i choose the attempt repair option, it goes through a recovery process, but each time it says failed to resolve the issue. if there is any help anyone can give, or suggest a good PC repair website it be appreciated. Spookhouse.

Try a system restore, or boot in safe mode and reinstall graphics drivers.

i have tried a system restore, but like the attempt repair option, doesnt do anything. also there is not the option of a safe mode boot, only attempt repair or start windows normally.

Hi Try hitting the F8 key before Windows appears.

In safe mode, check and see what your power

saving settings are. Also disable the screen saver.

I have mine set to never on hard drive power down

and system sleep.
