Quick summary:
1. Set your own fair price.
2. Get up to 3 Divinity Games, including Divinity II: Developer's Cut.
3. Own some of the games? No problem--you'll get the gift codes to give to friends.
4. Bonus for you:
* enjoy exclusive access to Divinity II: Developer's Cut one day before the release
* tons of goodies for all the games
* unlock special videos from Larian StudiosGOG

The above is only an excerpt. Find the full piece here.

I never played the first two games but this still sounds like a mighty good deal. Is there anything in particular that I should know about these games beforehand? Will you guys be making use of this deal?

TheShadowLord07

The most recent game came out in 2004 and got an average of 73% on Metacritic and 3.5 stars on GOG. The newest one will launch on the 18th of October.

When it was originally released, apparently it was. But a lot was fixed in the re-released version - The Dragon Knight Saga which is the one I bought. I thought it was great - and a game I'd recommend. By the looks of it, the Director's Cut is basically TDKS, but with access to console, dev journal, concept arts etc... Anyway, I hope this helps out Larian... For such a small studio, I thought they were a bit crazy developing 2 game at once (Dragon Commander and Original Sin).

This is pretty cool. I already have Divinity 2, but I'd like to pick the others up.

If you have the game on GOG, you'll just get a code so that you can gift the game to others.

I don't know from what parallel universe you come from to have heard that, but Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga is one of the best RPGs i've played this generation. It's ridiculously addictive, and criminally underrated. I recommend it to everyone that likes RPGs in general.

Divinity II: Developer's Cut seems to be.. the same thing, though yet to be released. I have no idea why they are releasing this, since Dragon Knight Saga is basically it- a remastered version of Ego Draconis and its expansion. This makes no sense.

Divine Divinity is the first, and is 2D (izometric). It's also a excellent game, if people are itching for a Elder Scrolls type of open-world with incredible detail to it, Diablo combat and tons of wonderfully designed dungeons (minus the starting dungeon), then this is it.

I haven't played Beyond Divinity.

Dragon Knight, effectively. GOG is selling the most complete version, expanstion pack-included.

I'm guessing that they just made this version to generate interest in the announcement of their "next, super-secret upcoming project ". Or perhaps they just needed the money?

Hmmm I already played the original Divine Divinity and its sequel but haven't played the Dragon Knight Saga.

But I'm more interested in playing Divinity - Original Sin now.

Dragon Knight, effectively. GOG is selling the most complete version, expanstion pack-included.

So why is it at 3.5 stars? Seems to be garnering some hate considering how amazing this complete version is supposed to be.

Where do you see that score? TDKS isn't on GOG, and The Dev's Cut isn't released yet.

Edit: I see Beyond Divinity as 3.5, but that's not Divinity 2.

Whoa, I've been confused this whole time. Yup, Beyond Divinity is the one I am talking about. Divinity 2 is the one that is being released soon. My apologies.

Color me anal, but after doing some research, Beyond Divinity is apparently not as good as the other two, so I'll buy Divine Divinity using this deal and then pay full price for Divinity 2, completely avoiding Beyond Divinity.

Its a ton of fun and has a lot of humour in it too. Definitely not the best RPG ever but a worthwhile one.

TheShadowLord07 has likely been looking at reviews of Ego Draconis when he should be looking at reviews of The Dragon Knight Saga which is the most up to date version of which I have pretty much only heard positive things. Check the video reviews I posted above as they are quite informative.

My backlog is nowhere near as big as that of others but despite promising not to buy anymore games for a while, I needed a break from the first person shooters I've been playing.
