I just put a new mobo, ram, CPU and PSU in my comp, i got it all plugged in, now when i turn the PC on after a couple of minutes (if that) it turns itself off, can somone please help me, are on of the plugs misplaced/or is it shutting itself down to avoid damage?

At what point during start up does your computer usually shut down at?

well i turn it on and usually when im trying to start to do some configuration in bios it will shutdown, or if i try to 'skip setup' it will go to the next screen and then turn off.

You need to reinstall windows and reconfig the bios so the pc works properly.


Just insert the OS disk (windows) in the cd/dvd drive, and restart once more the PC. :)

the temp is okay, i think. wklzip, ive tried that i booted from CD and the comp shutdown soon after the installation process started

Well, you can try taking out the hard drive, saving all your important info to another drive, and reformat it. Then try to install the os again.
