I am planning to buy 8800GT and i don't know does it work just fine with XP or i need to upgrade to Vista.

I also don't know what PSU should i choose, please help me here, it's really important. I heard 8800GT requires 24amps on 12V rails or something like that.

So, please recomend me some stable but not expensive PSU for this configuration:

Athlon 3200+

1.5GB DDR

8800GT

1x Hard disk

That's it...

Thanks for the answers!

The Antec Earthwatts 380W will work fine for your needs.

I plan upgrading my CPU, could you suggest something else or that one would be fine?

Here's the thing about the 3200+... it's clocked @ 1.8 GHz w/ only ONE CORE and is going to severely limit your GPU. I would definitely look into an Intel Core 2 Duo (you'll need a new mobo), nothing like a e6850 (that's overkill) but somewhere around 2.6. BTW kodex, nice rig! Why the EVGA though?

...was thinking about:

AMD Athlon64 X2 4200+
2.2GHz
socket 939
Dual Core
L2 cache 2x512kB

I think 4200+ with s939 can hold this well.

What do u think about it?

Can anyone help please, I am planning to buy new CPU in next 3days.

Will Athlon X2 4200+ s939 work good with 8800GT or it will keep it limited?

Thanks!

Instead of upgrading GPU, get anew CPU + Mobo. I think the CPU you chose isnt bad, though i would go with C2D like E2200 then OC it. And you will see then the real monster 8800GT what can give you.

I don't have so much money to change Mobo and CPU, then I'll have to replace memory too probably. :(

Not really, you dont have to buy the best of the best. Getting avalue C2D such as e2200 + P35 mobo from MSI or Gigabyte will be really good. For memory if they are DDR2 then they should be ok until you plan to get something else
