Ok so ive got an AMD Phenom Quad, a Geforce 7600gt, 4GB Ram, and Vista w/ directX 10.

I also have a 360. Standard, no live, not even a hard drive.

Is my PC good enough to run it or should I go with the 360 version (meaning i'd only get single player)

it good enough but if you want to upgrade ur pc one-day upgrade it piece by piece over tim'e specially the gpu to something similarly to HD4850 / 4870 1GB would be Very good upgrade if you lag when you want to max The Setting

7600GT does meet the minimum REquirement

was that a pre-build ur pc ? or a own-build ? also Which Amd Phenom Quad you got ? many CPu variate From Being Weaker then socket Am2 6000x2

I always prefer PC for FPS' s. But Modern Warfare 2 is a different case. I have it on PC but i think it would be alot more fun on a 360

I went with the PC version, and I am tempted to buy a new graphics card. So what you reckon I should get/whats compatible with my machine? The game runs fine, its not on high settings.. but it still looks amazing.

you pc will run it at x360 level graphics but i'd get a new gpu and then you will have it maxed, and the pc version is cheaper.

The only thing that gives the 360 versions of these games the advantage is Xbox LIVE, with most people having a mic..but I still think these FPS's are made for PC's.

well yeah no other way for people to communicate on the 360 with pc people can get by typing with keyboard not the fastest or greatest buts it got the job done and will continue to do so.
