Does everyone just leave everything standard, or is there a better way to set up the controls for like fps games?

I think I might be the only person on Earth who changes CROUCH to "C"...

Depends on how the game devs already set up the control for me, if they're awfully wrong of ofcourse I'd change them.
Usually Q + E + Shift are used for most common things like sprinting and if leaning is not part of the game then some quick actions like throwing nade or melee.
F can be used as well for those quick actions.
All other extra controls are set to my mouse middle mouse botton and the closest thumb botton (mouse 4)
Most games I leave them, but if the game has odd controls I'll change them.
e.g. crouch I like on control, sprint on shift

what do you use control for?
Most of the time for nothing.... maybe for a menu on some games.
Funny thing is that for FPS games I always put "C" as crouch, but for third person games I don't mind CTRL as crouch....

weird. personally i like to leave default as many bindings as possible. i find that unless i'm playing competitively (mobas, shooters) it's easier to adapt than to change the controls.
