Looking for a popular multiplayer FPS game to get.

Hi there,

I'm looking for a popular multiplayer PC game (FPS). I recently upgraded to a high end system (I'll skip details), and I would like to buy a good popular game to enter in teams, get my tags on, and similar.

I think the last PC game I played multiplayer was Modern Warfare 1, and it was great with +20 people in the maps.

I heard a lot Black Ops sucks, and I see Modern Warfare 2 is more popular, not to mention is cheaper. And yeah, BF3 and MW3 are near to come, but still need to wait.

So, any recomendations?

Wait for Red Orchestra 2, and BF3. CoD sucks nowadays. MW2 is a horrible hackfest.

RO2 comes out next month. And BF3 in October.

Stay far far away from Modern Warfare2, one of the worst onlien FPS ive ever played.

Bad Company2 and Vietnam expansion is very good, ARMA2 is awesome (but takes awhile to learn), Team Fortress kicks butt (its also free) and I also enjoyed Killing Floor and Shadowrun.

If you want some older ones I would say Ghost Recon 1, Unreal2k4 and Counterstrike Source.

As for the COD games, I liked COD1, COD2 and COD4 the best, with COD3/Modern Warfare2 being terrible. Black Ops is not the best but its not horrid either.

I vote for TF2 and BFBC2.

Cs source has a lot more players than bc2.

Get TF2 if you enjoy easy team-based shooters, or CSS if you don't mind playing against REALLYgood players.

I'm sorry, if he got the Counter Strike package he could have over 99,500 players to play with daily

Also combined is about 90k? That's like saying two ten dollar bills combined is about 11 dollars.

So yeah with those games he can play with 404 (it's funny because it's a computer thing) short of 100k daily

Compared to BC2 that peaks at a whopping 8464

ETQW still the best sci fi mp IMO.
