Hello I love gaming and I love gaming on the PC but lately I havent had a game to play so I was looking for a game that is fun and also gonnna take up a lot of time because my favorite games are always ones that take hours upon hours of playtime plus I feel as if I am getting my money's worth.

Thank you for all your suggestions!

Planescape: torment will take plenty of your time if you can handle an older game and it's mechanics. Also...it defined the word epic. GoG.com has it for cheap and a giant mod (read enhancement) compilation for it.

The Witcher series is most good, a fresh new take on RPGs.

DayZ, although still in early alpha, is quite the time sink - be prepared to lose your progress either through dying or a patch update though.

If you havne't played the soul's series, now is the time. Start with Demons Souls first - used ps3s are a dime a dozen now if you don't own one. Worth buying just for that IMO.

On the free side of things, Path of Exile didn't get Gamespot's game of the year for nothing. It's fantastic. In the nitty-gritty type of way that Diablo 1 & 2 brought.

On the shooter side of things, CS:GO is kicking strong - it's competitive mode will place you into games your skill level, no matter how good or bad you are. Plus it's cheap. Strong community going for over a decade.

Steam always has sales going on so keep an eye out for those. Just because I haven't seen it mentioned here I'll add the Trine series to the recommendations.

Rome 2. It's a worthy time-sink if I've ever played one. Not necessarily the best in the series, but it's the newest and most accessible. Civilization V is also a stellar game if you want to get your money's worth. Probably wouldn't recommend MP3, Braid, LA Noire, or Trine if you're looking for a time sink (as they have particularly short playthroughs and not much else to do).

@KHAndAnime: Ok thank you I am definitly looking for a time sink. Also I was thinking about getting Rome 2 but a lot of people said it was bad because of all the bugs but they probably fixed that by now
