Ok so I was woundering what games out there would fill this void im looking for, I do not care about age, as long as it has good gameplay. I do not want magic in it or any of that scfi stuff. I want a realistic medeval exspericance. Also I am not a fan of turn based games, hence asking for a RTS. Medeval total war games i have tried. they have that turn based aspect to them tho that I am looking to avoid.

So yeah i think you get what I am looking for, any ideas on a game would be appreciated. (you can also include games yet to release)

thank you.

Total War: Medieval 2, alternatives might be 1404 Anno or some older games like Age of Empires 2

I will second Stronghold. Although it is more of a castle simulator than pure RTS. Still, pretty fun.

Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader are your best choices.

Just bought the Stronghold collection a few weeks ago. It's on Steam. Been playing non stop since then. It's still fun and enjoyable.

I'd recommend checking out Knights of Honor. It plays like a real time version of the total war campaign maps and also has real time battles (which I usually auto resolve because I'm terrible at them and it's quicker -- also, you probably lose less units that way).

Age of Empires 2. I coulden't recomend that game more. It's really old now, think it was out in 1998 but to me and my friends it holds its own even to this day. Not to mention that hundreds of players are still playing it online using a variety of different programs to host and join gaming rooms. That's the power this game has.

I would also recomend getting the expansion with it, you can buy them together in a pack. (I bought AoE 1, AoE 1 Expansion, AoE 2 and AoE 2 Expansion all in one set for dirt cheap!) The expansion does add some much needed features to the game aswell as generally expanding on the gameplay.
