Me and my friends periodically host one but never had one in my city. Actually, that is a partial lie. There is one being hosted here during a Sci-fi convention in a couple of months.

no not all the time... I have went to a few and if I only see nerds I leave immediately.. not to mention most of the time its a sausage fest but the last one I went to was pretty fun, cool ppls too.
A friend has one at his house once every couple of months. about 10-20 people go. Mostly is COD4 that gets played because everyone has it. I want to play tf2, stalker, and maybe vegas2 or something. It normally goes from 12noon to 12midnight.
Yes In wichita a gaming group called lan lordz has lan parties at wichita area technical college once a month. I think 120 people were signed up for the last one.. They only let 75 in!
Yeah I have to play LAN for the hundreds of pirated games that I pirate everyday. Examples are every worthwhile game out there. I only pay for mobile games because none of those suck.
Well I run my own medium sized LAN in my city, going for about 100 seats next event.
In Auckland, we also have X-Lan which is hosted annually and that seated 800 in 2007, it also hosts the national WCG qualifiers for New Zealand. I was invited on crew to host the X-Lan css tournament, very fun :)
