Thats too much for that rig.
lol you idiots show me somewhere were you can get that kind of rig for less than 2k??? btw its a laptop it has a laptop GPU and CPU...(i though this was a pc hardware board...)Just to prove a point. I'm british yeah? So that would be £2000 right. And that would mean I'm exagurating, y'know like people do? Forgot that obviously makes me an idiot.
And that's sarcasm. Just in case you mistake it.

yeah im british too since most of the guys here are from USA so i have to assume you mean dollars...but this guys has askd for assistance laughing at him is just idiotic pointless posts...Now was a really stupid time to order a pc. Intel is releasing its new processors this month, you should cancel and then wait for them.Baselerd
or he can get a laptop now that is going to perform almost as good and play games for that month...if you always wait for the next set of processors, graphics cards, motherboards or memory to come out, you are never going to get a computer.
[QUOTE="319ni"]im a brit 2 so its about 2k in sterling

thats very expensive.
not really, dont assume that 2000 pounds means 4000 dollars because its more like somethign which cost 3000 pounds here will cost 4000 dollars there...[QUOTE="kruesader"][QUOTE="319ni"]im a brit 2 so its about 2k in sterling

that laptop has an SLI'd 8700M that does not come cheap wherever you are, and also a 320GB HDD which atm is the max for a laptop thats also setting you back loads. (soon to be 500GB one being released this year)8700 is weak...Its like a Oced 8600gt.Sprozelthyour comparing it to a desktop GPU so obviously its weak but for a laptop its top end...
Alienware scares the crap out of me when it comes to their costumer service.
I've heard, and personal watched as people and my friend got fryed with a **** machine that cost to much.
my friend ordered a tower and came to him broken, his bro's laptop's battery died after 2 years.
He ordered his ABS-PC: Laptop and has been running strong.
I will have to say alienware's new 15inch laptops look good, but i think ill stick to something else.

Yep, pretty much...Now was a really stupid time to order a pc. Intel is releasing its new processors this month, you should cancel and then wait for them.BaselerdThere will ALWAYS be new stuff coming out,you mind aswell wait forever

Theres a difference between waiting a few months to a matter of days though.

But cancelling a laptop order just for release of new CPU's which aren't that much better is just plain stupid. If your going to wait for the new Intel CPU. You'll probably want to wait for the new NVIDIA GPU. But then you'll want to wait for the new ASUS motherboard, and then wait a few more months till the new RAM comes out. But you might want to hold off on everything till the new OS comes out. So don't buy a computer for a few years until everything has upgraded by then.
Hungry? Why Wait?

But cancelling a laptop order just for release of new CPU's which aren't that much better is just plain stupid.15-20% increased performance and a far better rate of overclock. Yeah, that sounds like they arn't that much better.

15-20%? Where are you getting this from? And for the record,OCing laptops = fail, since they're run very hot. Please Log In to post.
