Okay, I'm finally getting bonus points again.

Man, folding for 1.25 days and only getting 1K points was brutal...or 8 hours for 128 points.

So now that my success rate is 80% after folding 10WU I'm getting the bonus points and beta WUs. I'm not getting as much as you guys folding with the 600 series NVida cards, but I am getting bonus points that should further increase our team's PPD.

For me it was a CPU WU. Not only do those long WUs screw up your PPD, but now there is a possibility of them failing.

I havent updated my drivers and for the last few days ive been dry of the GPU bonus's as well.Kurushio

I'm still not getting any data for my video cards. I haven't processed anything with my video cards for over a week.

Well, after losing several days of GPU folding, I stumbled upon a solution. I removed and added the gpu slot and it started right up. Pretty crappy that there wasn't official documentation on that solution. If anyone has a Ready GPU and the message is Updating_Core, do what I did. Go into Configure -> Slots and remove and add the gpu.

On the folding@home blog the last 5 posts are about GPUs. Looks like there is a lot of work going on with GPUs.

So it looks like before they release WUs to th general public they release it to those of us that have opted to receive beta WUs first. Once the beta units are released then there are no beta units (and beta bonus points) to be had. Right now there doesn't seem to be any beta WUs in circulation.

So once they release the next round of betas we can take advantage of them for the entire run. I'm pretty sure we signed on to betas in the middle/end of the beta run.

One thing I'd like to add: If we are going to run beta units, then we should probably fully take part in the beta process. If we experience any issues while folding beta WUs, then I'd like to encourage us to report it properly to Pande Group. I suppose until we actually start folding beta units there's no reason to belabor the point. When beta units are available let's research the proper beta reporting process.

I havent had any ploblems folding since i started getting the betas. The only problem ive had is once time i paused both the gpu and smp at nearly the same time and it seemed to lock up my PC. Never had it do that before or since though and it wasnt with a beta either.Kurushio

Yeah, I haven't actually had a beta fail either.

However, I have had two REGULAR WUs fail on me. One of them took me 1.25 days to fold! Looking back on it, I should have probably reported those. Let's keep each other posted on bad WUs and figure out how to properly report them.

Oh, by the way. I added my old 3200 radeon into my old game-pc-turned-linux-server. It wasn't picking up any jobs, so I did a bit of searching and found this article: http://folding.typepad.com/news/2011/03/fah-support-for-ati-gpus.html I have no idea if this has since been resolved.

What I don't understand is the silly card is listed in their GPUs.txt file. Also, it never finds the GPUs.txt file no matter where I put.

No. The list is normally organized by points total. I just organized by 24 hour average to get a more accurate picture.
