Just wondering if all these parts will be good together, or if people have any suggestions.

Other Motherboards I was looking at were the Gigabyte DS4 650i, and the EVGA NF63 680i. My friends dad works at intel and is hooking me up with half off on the processor so I might check and see if he can get these two mobo's half off, if so would it be the better bet? (I proably won't be using that exact power supply/hardrive/cd drive.)

Pretty good but I don't really like that case... :) you could lower the proceseor to an e6600 and overclock it. And maybe invest it in a better gpu or case.

Just saw the harddrive thats ide you don't want ide and its 8 meg of cache I have to reccomend this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148140

It is a 50$ difference between the E6600 to the E6700 I am getting it for about $185.

I should mention that I am purchasing everything at Fry's elctronics besides the cpu. Just about the same prices and it cuts out the shipping costs. Also in California it would cost an additional $120 for some stupid tax we have.

everything looks good but save some money and get the E6600 its basically the same thing as the E6700 but its not as fast but you can easly overclock it or you could wait to build till July when the Q6600 goes down from $500 something to $266

Like I said earlier I am getting it for $180 I could get the E6600 for $135 or so but I figured it couldn't hurt to go up one. Heard it easily overclocks on stock fan but I am putting in the Zalman one. looking for a easy 3.4-3.6

Anyway any other suggestions about the motherboards from intel I listed? or another type of gpu. What the next step up from the 8800gts? price wise?
