huge problem really need help! please read urgent

I HAVE 3 PAPERS TO WRITE AND MY COMPUTER JUST LIKE TURNED OFF. I WAS INSTALLING SOME UPDATE AND ALL THE SUDDEN THE POWER JUST TURNED OFF, AND NOW WINDOWS WONT RUN, IT STARTS UP NORMAL AND EVEYRTHING, BUT WHEN IT GET'S TO THE PART WHERE WINDOWS IS SUPPOSED TO START IT **** UP AND NOTHING HAPPENS.

WHAT DO I DO, HOW DO I FIX IT, I REALLY REALLY NEED THIS COMPUTER TO WORK LIKE ASAP!

man try opening it in safe mode, to do so, when your system is booting keep pressing F8, then choose safe mode. After that try using system restore and reset 2 an earlier point.

tried safe mode, a long list of crap pops up, and then after that, nothing happens.

same thing as in safe mode, it gets to te last thing on the list and then stops and doesnt move

try booting from your operating system cd and use the repair feature.
