Hey ppl,
Well, im gonna buy parts to build my pc soon and well, after a while researching, im still not confident on which graphic card provides me quality, decent performance and value for money. I've looked at a number:

7600gt/gs
7900gt
x1950Pro
and the last was one which was a bit above my budget:7950gt

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Thanks in advance

Sort of depends on how much you want to spend - I'd shoot for a happy medium with the X1950GT, which is $160 at Newegg right now. Get most of the performance of the X1950Pro, but save yourself a fair bit of cash.

All of those cards are worthwhile but I would go for Nvidia 7900 GT.  It has better power usage for your computer, but if you want supreme graphics, get the 7900 GTX SLI. As for Radeon, I've never used them and I probably never will.

well, the dx10 cards look a BIT over my budget, i doubt it'll come down to my budget even after two years lol!
I also wanted to ask, how well will a game like rs:vegas or nfs carbon run on those dx9 grphic cards??
